We work in partnership with South Gloucestershire Council to develop exciting opportunities for independent living and employment in a variety of industries, including catering and hospitality. We are further developing our provision for learners with complex needs, to improve the outcomes as identified in your EHCP. Our Provision is supported by our Speech and Language team.
Learn moreThe CHASE is part of South Gloucestershire and Stroud college and provides a dedicated, self-contained educational resource in the Stroud Valleys. The Chase offers a five day Specialist Provision, supporting young people (16-18 and 19-25) who have high support needs. The provision is committed to providing learners with an inclusive curriculum and the emotional and personal support to enable them to achieve and to make progress on pathways that are tailored to meet individual needs. The pathways will focus on improving skills for independent living, social communication and gaining the skills required to prepare for work or further education.
Learners are supported by SEND experienced Tutors and a learning support team as they work towards their aspirations and the outcomes in their individual EHCP. Learners benefit from their own bespoke therapy package which is continuously monitored and adapted to their needs. Depending on Individual needs, the therapy package could include support from a Speech and Language Therapist, Clinical Psychologist, Occupational Therapist, Therapy dog and have daily access to a sensory room and garden.
Our overarching ethos is that we want all of our learners to make excellent progress. Staff will also work with learners to access the local community and support work experience in line with their aspirations. We recognise that every individual is unique, so each pathway is adapted to suit the young person's specific needs in line with their EHCP outcomes and following the Preparing for Adulthood Framework.
PATHWAY 1: Preparing for Adulthood
This pathway
incorporates a programme which supports learners in gaining
skills to access independent/supported living and life. With a
strong focus on personal development, this pathway will include

self-advocacy skills. Learners will also gain knowledge and
skills in healthy living, relationships, making choices and
independent living, this course is well placed to support
learners with more complex needs.
PATHWAY 2: Preparing for work skills
As well has
developing skills for independence and life, this pathway will
